CELPIP Writing Task 1 Email to Airport Manager
(153 words)
Dear Airport manager,
I recently returned to Toronto from San Francisco via Quebec on flights A670 (Air Canada) and A840 respectively (Air Canada) which arrived on 20th Jan at 18:30 at Toronto airport.
My luggage which was supposed to check all the way to my final destination, baggage tag number-Al224785 has apparently been completely misplaced or possibly offloaded at Vancouver airport.
I reported the same to the lost luggage counter and the staff assured me that they would be in touch with me in 24 hours to inform me about the tracking of my luggage. It has been three days now and I did not get any information about my luggage, I have spoken numerous times to the staff but they do not have any clue about my stuff.
I certainly believe that I am entitled to compensation. I already provided detailed information about the lost luggage to the staff along with the estimated value. Please let me know what are the formalities required for the claim submission.
I can be reached out on my mobile XXX-458-7854. I would appreciate an update as soon as possible.
Regards,
John
You recently returned to Toronto from San Francisco. But your luggage got misplaced CELPIP
Dear Authorities,
On the 8th of March 2019, I returned to Toronto from San Francisco via Canadian airlines (flight number CA178). When I landed and was eagerly waiting in the baggage area to receive my two suitcases; I was surprised to see one of my luggage never arrived.
On the one hand, I spoke about the issue with Ms. David Bell, your ground-staff at the Toronto airport. In fact, he mentioned he would contact me within 24 hours, however, it has already been 4days and I haven’t heard from your staff.
On the other hand, the bag I lost had many invaluable items including photos from my trip, gifts for my friends and family members. In addition, I also placed a brand-new Nikon C250 camera in the same bag. I estimate the value of my belongings at around $1478
Although I won’t be able to get those items back, I hope your management can provide me with reimbursement for my loss. If you have any further questions feel free to reach out to me at (405)678-4521.
Regards,
Kanan
