CELPIP Speaking Describe A Scene – Forest
Describe this scene.
Preparation: 30 seconds Speaking: 60 seconds
People often spend too much time trying to introduce the scene. Just keep it simple. One short sentence is enough. It doesn’t need to be 100% accurate. For example, you could say:
“This is a typical forest scene.”
It’s possible that it’s not a forest, but don’t worry about it. “Forest” is close enough. Ideally, you want to have enough time to describe all the animals in the scene.
Vocabulary To Use:
Lake (or river)
Sunrise (or sunset)
Grizzly (kind of bear)
CELPIP Speaking Describe a Scene Forest – Sample Answer
This is a picture of a typical forest scene. There is a lake in the middle of the picture with a duck swimming on it. In the bottom of the picture, there’s a grizzly bear eating berries from a bush. Behind the grizzly, there’s a skunk. On the left side of the picture, there’s a big oak tree with a beaver under it.
Around the base of the oak tree, there’s a big patch of dirt with no grass. On the opposite bank, there’s a deer close to the water and two wolves howling in the background. There are also a few pine trees and a beautiful orange sunset!
