Your city traffic department is conducting a survey to bring in revolutionary changes in traffic management. The department has sent out an opinion survey to see what residents feel about the given options
Traffic Management Survey:
Option A: Department should issue more tickets with heavy penalties
Option B: Department should organize traffic awareness programs on a regular basis.
CELPIP Responding to Survey Questions Traffic Management Survey – Model Answer 1
I would prefer option B. As per the saying, prevention is better than cure, in the same way, awareness is better than penalties. I have two strong reasons to support option B.
Firstly, the traffic management department’s duty is to develop a comfortable and secure environment for the residents. Issuing more tickets with heavy penalty amounts is not a solution for traffic-related problems. In fact, residents will be more scared of the rules, which can lead to more road accidents.
Secondly, If we conduct programs to spread awareness of how to organize traffic, it will make positive and effective changes into everyone behavior. People will know the right reasons for following rules and regulations. Thru awareness programs, we can teach kids beforehand so when they will actually go on the road, they will be prepared.
So, my vote goes to option B but I will support whatever decision will be taken. Thank you for giving me a chance to give my opinion.
CELPIP Traffic Management Survey – Model Answer 2
First of all, thanks for conducting a survey of this kind. It is very appreciated that the traffic department considers what the residents think about such an important subject.
From my point of view, I firmly believe that the option of organizing traffic awareness programs makes much more sense than simply increasing the number of tickets.
In my opinion as a driver, I think that we have to learn much more in order to educate us as smart drivers and forget old bad habits.
We need to know about what we are doing incorrectly and which conducts avoid when we are on the streets.
In this regard, information about, statics, scientific studies, and other analytics can help us to understand what is going on in our society as drivers, bikers, and pedestrians.
On the other hand, issuing more tickets is only punishing mistakes without contributing to our education as members of the traffic system.
Thank you so much for conducting this survey, hope that my choice can be helpful.
