You have been invited to a wedding, but you cannot go. Your e-mail must include the following points:
- Congratulations on the wedding
- Apologies that you cannot go to the wedding
- The reason that you cannot go to the wedding
- A suggestion about when you can see each other after the wedding

I really want to go to your wedding, but I cannot. I am so sorry. I feel so bad. I know it is an important day for you.
I cannot go to your wedding because of work. I have a big meeting on the same day as your wedding. If I don’t go to the meeting, I could lose my job. It is a very important meeting for me. I hope you understand.
Maybe we can get together after the wedding. I will phone you a few weeks after your wedding. Maybe we can have dinner together. You can tell me about your wedding.

How have you been? I hope you’ve been keeping well. Thanks for your wedding invitation, which I just received. I am so excited for both you and George. Congratulations! You make a great couple.
I would love to be able to make it to your wedding, but I’m afraid I can’t. My apologies. I feel terrible.I know what an important day it is for you. I really wish that I could make it.
I won’t be able to go to your wedding because of work. There’s a big meeting that I have to attend, which just happens to be on the same day as your wedding. If I don’t go to the meeting, I could lose my job. That’s how important it is for me to be there. I really hope you understand.
Maybe we can get together sometime after the wedding. I will phone you a couple of weeks after your wedding. Maybe we can have dinner at a nice place or something. It will give us a chance to catch up and talk about your fantastic wedding.
