How to Register for the CELPIP Test Online?
Registering for CELPIP online is quick and simple:
1. Create a CELPIP Account
Visit celpip.ca and click on the “Sign In” link at the top of the page. This will take test takers to the account page, where they can create a CELPIP account.

2. Sign into a CELPIP Account
After creating a new CELPIP account or signing into an existing account, test takers can register for a test.
3. Register for CELPIP
During registration test takers select the country, region, and city in which they will take the CELPIP Test. After reviewing the available test dates, test takers can register for a convenient test centre and testing date.
4. Choose the Identification to Bring
Test takers can choose the type of personal identification that they will provide on test day from a list of acceptable identification choices.
- Your identification document must be the same one you used to register for the test. It must match the registration details you entered during registration, including full name and document number.
- Your identification document must be original. Photocopies of identification are not acceptable.
- Your identification document must be valid.
- Your identification document must be unexpired.

If you registered for the CELPIP Test with your passport, you should not send it away for any reason (i.e., extensions or visa renewals) before your scheduled test date. If you are required to do so, please send away your passport after you have taken the test or before you register for the test. If you do not provide your passport or the identification document that you registered with at the test sitting, you will be refused entry to the test and no refunds or transfers will be given.
5. Confirm Information and Payment Option
Test takers can pay via credit card online, or submit a paper test registration form through the mail with an alternative form of payment.
6. Receive Test Confirmation Email
Once payment has been processed, you (test taker) will receive your test confirmation email, which will detail when and where you will take the CELPIP Test. This must be taken, along with identification, to your CELPIP Test sitting.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your CELPIP exam, you can do so by logging in to your CELPIP account and following the instructions provided. Keep in mind that there may be fees associated with cancellations or rescheduling, so be sure to check the CELPIP website for more information.
