Sample Answer 1
I am happy to accept this opportunity as this was the opportunity that I have been looking forward to for a long time. But I would like to let you know I will not be able to join the company on the joining date of July 1st 2022. Hence, I would like to let you know that I have been stuck in my grandparent’s hometown due to his pandemic situation across the globe. Therefore, the only mode of transportation from their town to my city is through public transportation, which in the current situation is a little tricky.
I would request you to delay my joining date for a week so that I could make the necessary arrangements in a while and travel from my present location to Pune with all safety and precautionary steps.
Thanks in advance for all the cooperation, and I will be looking forward to the new role.

I am David, and I have been hired as a customer support executive to work under your supervision. I feel miserable to inform you that I will not report at the office on the joining day, 1st June 2021.
Covid-19 has impacted the whole world, and you may be aware that the second wave is fierce. I am one of the victims of this fatal virus. But by god’s grace, I am asymptomatic. I was tested positive on 1st May 2022, and my quarantine period will end on the same day of joining.
I did not want to create any lousy impression by missing my first day at the office. But considering everyone’s health, I had to inform you at the earliest. I want to report in the office post receiving a negative Covid-19 report. I am a quick learner, and I will complete my training early and start taking the customer calls as planned.
I hope you can understand my situation and bear with me in these challenging times.
