I’m writing this email regarding my last Credit Card bill with a due date of next November 1st. There is an error on it. I have been billed twice for the same purchase.
On October 9th, I went to a restaurant with my wife. We ordered some pizza and chicken. It was a lovely dinner. However, my Credit Card was charged twice for the same meal, you can see on that date, under the name Gloria Restaurant and the value of CAD 154.25.
I am a customer of this Credit Card Company for more than fifteen years, and you can check my history during this time. Furthermore, you can quickly check on my bill that error.
I expect a correction of this minor mistake as soon as possible, or at least until my due date. I’m not planning to pay for this mistake.

Dear Scotiabank Billing Department Manager,
I am writing to inform you that I have been billed twice for the same purchase. I have been using the same credit card for four years now, and I created a habit of double-checking my expenses every month.
Yesterday, I received my credit card’s statement regarding the period from April 02nd to June 02nd, and while I was checking it, I realized that I was charged two times for a purchase at Dominos’s Pizza. The first charge indicates the exact date I went to the restaurant for my son’s birthday. But, intriguingly, I was charged a second time on the next day and the same amount of 50.12CAD.
I thought that, for some reason, the credit card could have split the total amount into two portions. However, the Domino’s printed receipt shows two pizzas combo for 24.00CAD each, plus taxes, in a total amount of 50.12CAD. That means that the second payment should not have been placed.
I kindly ask the bank to refund the over-billed portion in my next statement. Please let me know if you need further information.
